Federal Law requires all contact lens retailers to verify all prescriptions with the prescribing authority, unless they have the prescription in hand. Just Lenses is in full compliance with this law as it seeks to supply its customer's with quality contact lenses.
Prescription verification works in two ways:
- You fax us a copy of the prescription.
- You can provide us with the name and phone or fax number of your eye care provider and we will contact them to verify your prescription's validity. During this time your order has a status of RXFaxed. If your eye care provider does not respond to our request for information within 8 business hours then we will assume that your prescription is valid and will proceed to process and ship your order.
Note - Federal Law also requires your eye care provider to release a copy of your prescription,
both upon completion of the fitting and upon request at a later date. Be sure to take advantage of this and get a copy of your prescription, it belongs to you.
If you have any questions about Prescription Verification please contact our Customer Service Department for additional assistance.
