How recent does my prescription have to be?

Federal Law requires us to verify all prescriptions before we ship your lenses. At the same time all eye care providers are now required to provide you with a copy of your prescription, both upon completion of the fitting and on your request at a later date.

However, all contact lens prescriptions have an expiration date. Contact lens prescriptions are valid for a minimum of one year (two years in certain states) from when the lenses were prescribed. Once the prescription is expired it can no longer be used to purchase contact lenses.

Just Lenses encourages all of its customers to receive regular eye examinations in order to promote good eye health. If your prescription is expired our customer service representatives will remind you that you need to schedule an eye exam and update your prescription.
